Porcelain Crowns

Phoenix Porcelain Veneers
Chandler Cosmetic Dentist

The most common crown restoration placed today utilizes a metal lining covered with porcelain. These types of restorations are not as natural in appearance because light is not able to pass through porcelain-metal crowns as it does with a natural tooth. The result is an opaque or flat-looking tooth. Often, these types of traditional crowns leave a dark or gray line next to the gumline. Our talented team is proud to offer a natural looking alternative: all-ceramic, non-metal crowns! With these newer restorations you will notice the "life-like" appearance that mimics natural teeth and does not produce the black gumline so common with porcelain-metal crowns.

Hygiene

Our Dental Hygienists are highly educated, experienced and trained in the latest methods of preventative hygiene. They are also well trained in soft tissue laser techniques used in conjunction with “deep cleanings” to expedite healing of the gums and total bacterial reduction to stop the progress of gum and bone disease. They also continually take educational classes on the latest advances and technology in oral health care. Routine visits with our hygienist are designed to keep your smile healthy and beautiful for life.

TMJ Treatment

If you suffer from symptoms such as migraines, jaw pain, sinus problems, earaches, ringing in the ears, dizziness or teeth grinding and clenching, neuromuscular dentistry can put an end to your pain! Using neuromuscular dentistry, Dr.Arooni follows a broader, "whole body" approach to treatment. Traditional dentistry assumes that your current bite, the way that your teeth fit together, is right for you. Often this is not the case. Rather than relying on your present jaw position as being the most optimal, Dr. Arooni uses computerized equipment to study the pattern of your jaw movements. All of the tests are non-invasive and can lead to a better quality of life!

Implants

Today's dental implants are changing the way people live! With implants, people are rediscovering the comfort and confidence to smile, eat, speak, laugh and enjoy life. Dental implants are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel and function like natural teeth. A person with implants regains the ability to eat virtually anything and can smile with confidence, knowing that teeth appear natural and that facial contours have been preserved. Implants consist of small titanium posts which are placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing. The bone bonds with the titanium, creating a strong foundation for artificial teeth. In addition to restoring a natural appearance in the mouth, implants can help preserve facial structure, preventing bone deterioration, which typically occurs when teeth are missing.

Periodontal Laser Therapy

Over 85% of the population has some form of periodontal (gum) disease. Gum disease is the leading cause of tooth loss and has been linked to heart disease, stroke and premature and low birth weight babies. With the introduction of lasers into periodontal care, the disease can be treated more effectively and comfortably than ever before. The laser removes scar tissue in periodontal pockets, kills bacteria causing the disease and promotes the reattachment of the gum to tooth.

Non-metal Fillings

If your teeth are filled with dark metal amalgam fillings, your smile is aging your appearance. Your discolored teeth may also cause embarrassment. Of the most concern, however, is the fact that metal fillings can also damage teeth. Amalgams expand with heat and contract with cold. This movement weakens the tooth wall, leading to fractures and allowing bacteria to enter and cause decay. Amalgam fillings contain mercury that may have negative long-term health effects. Tooth-colored composite fillings are a safer, stronger, more attractive and more enduring alternative to metal. They conservatively restore your teeth to strength and your smile to beauty.

Bridges

Missing teeth can cause a variety of problems, from low self-esteem and embarrassment to physical ailments, including gum disease, bite problems, bone loss, speech difficulties and painful chewing. A dental bridge can not only restore your smile to its natural appearance, but it can also return it to comfort and function. A bridge is a custom-fit false tooth (or teeth) that is permanently placed between two healthy teeth and is held in place by porcelain crowns.
